  • This is a remote role based in Africa, reporting directly to the Senior Sales Engineer. As an IFSR, you will work closely with customers to tailor solutions, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure the successful deployment of Silvus’ MIMO radios and mesh networking systems.
  • If you are a technical problem-solver with strong field experience, fluent in French and English, and eager to travel across Africa, this could be the next step in your career.

Major Tasks

As an International Field Service Representative, you will:
  1. Customer Support & Technical Expertise
    • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including system design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor by explaining the advantages of Silvus networking solutions over competing technologies.
  2. Product Demonstrations & Training
    • Conduct live demonstrations of Silvus radios and networking systems for potential and existing clients.
    • Deliver customer training sessions both virtually and on-site.
  3. Field Operations
    • Travel across Africa (up to 75% of the time) to support deployments and provide on-site troubleshooting.
    • Perform system setup, optimization, and testing in real-world conditions, often in rugged or high-stakes environments.
  4. Technical Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and resolve abnormal technical situations in the field.
    • Collect, document, and analyze field failures, then communicate feedback to the design and engineering teams.
    • Collaborate with engineers to reproduce and troubleshoot technical issues.
  5. Product Development Feedback
    • Act as the voice of the customer, providing feedback that influences product development and system improvements.

Educational Skills Needed

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Education: Secondary school completion (e.g., high school diploma, national certificate, or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year as a Field Service Representative or equivalent technical role.
