Description of the Position

• This is a senior-level role and the most senior finance position within the organization.
• The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations across the group of companies.
• The ideal candidate will be at a mid-career stage, bringing strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and internal controls.
• The Finance Manager will work closely with the CEO and senior management team, providing strategic financial insights that support informed decision-making, cost control, and long-term business growth.

Major Tasks

• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and detailed expense and variance reports for both group and subsidiary entities.
• Supervise and manage a small finance team, including two accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations.
• Oversee job costing and profitability tracking for service-led operations, ensuring project margins are well analyzed and optimized.
• Maintain accurate balance sheets, perform reconciliations, and ensure records are up to date at all times.
• Manage payroll processing, supplier payments, and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UAE labor and tax regulations.
• Lead cash flow forecasting and treasury management to support day-to-day operations and long-term financial stability.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory regulations, and liaise with auditors and authorities as required.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and manage commission calculations for internal and external partners.
• Collaborate with outsourced accounting firms, auditors, and financial institutions to maintain transparent and compliant financial operations.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to improve business performance, budgeting, and cost-efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, VAT laws, and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience in service-based financial analysis, job costing, and multi-entity accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books, or other SME-level financial systems.
• Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and compliance management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or ACCA are highly advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a finance manager role.
• Experience in multi-entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and working within a fast-paced SME environment.
