Volunteering at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is a meaningful way to serve pilgrims, be part of a spiritual community, and experience personal growth through encounters with people from around the world. Who Can Volunteer?

  • Age: 18 years and older
  • Good physical condition (significant walking involved).
  • Good relational skills and openness to others
  • Ready to adapt to the Sanctuary’s needs and possible service changes
  • Committed to a chosen period of time
The Sanctuary Our Lady of Lourdes welcomes volunteers primarily from April to October (the high season for pilgrims), typically from early April to late October. Minimum stay is usually 1 week, but longer commitments are common and appreciated.

Types of Missions

A wide range of missions is available, matched to your skills, availability, and preferences. The International Volunteers Centre coordinates and proposes the best options for you. Roles support welcoming, accompanying, and assisting pilgrims (especially the sick, disabled, and families) in various areas of the Sanctuary.

How to Apply

  1. Submit your application online at least two months before your desired start date.
  2. Create an account or log in on the official volunteering portal.
  3. The Centre will review and assign a suitable mission.
