- Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies – 3 scholarships
- Faculty of Science – 8 scholarships
- Faculty of Social Sciences – 8 scholarships
The university gives each faculty the power to decide, based on professional needs and capabilities, according to specialisation. Each faculty has its own selection committee, which reviews applications based on academic and motivational criteria.
Duration and Renewal Conditions
The scholarship covers the nominal duration of the Master’s programme. For students admitted to a two-year Master’s programme, the scholarship can be renewed for the second year, provided that all first-year courses are successfully completed. Additionally, the Radboud Scholarship can be combined with the NL Scholarship, allowing eligible students to receive further financial support.
Eligibility Criteria for the Radboud Scholarship Programme
While the scholarship program is happy to welcome all candidates with the required qualifications, there are some requirements you need to meet. You are eligible to apply for the Radboud Scholarship only if you meet all of the following conditions:
- You hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport.
- You are not eligible for EU/EEA tuition fees for any reason.
- You have obtained, or will obtain, a Bachelor’s degree outside the Netherlands.
- You have not previously earned a degree in the Netherlands.
- You meet the English language proficiency requirements of your chosen Master’s programme.
- You have been fully admitted to an English-taught Master’s programme starting 1 September 2026
- You meet the requirements for obtaining a Dutch student visa.
- You will be enrolled as a full-time student at Radboud University.
Students must know that this scholarship offers many opportunities, but also has some limitations. Thus, for all local and international applicants, please note that Erasmus Mundus and joint-degree Master’s programmes are excluded from this scholarship.
How to Apply for the Radboud Scholarship
Applications for the Radboud Scholarship are submitted together with your Master’s programme application through the OSIRIS Application System. During your Master’s application, you must indicate that you wish to be considered for the Radboud Scholarship. You will then be asked to upload three additional documents:
- Two reference letters (preferably academic)
- A curriculum vitae (CV)
If these documents were already uploaded for your Master’s application, you may upload the same files again for the scholarship application. It is important to understand that admission to a Master’s programme does not guarantee selection for the scholarship, as both processes are handled separately.
Application Deadlines for the Radboud Scholarship Programme
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must strictly follow the deadlines:
- 31 January 2026 (23:59 CET): Submit your application in the OSIRIS system
- 14 February 2026 (23:59 CET): Complete your application, including all required documents
Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship selection. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit proof of English language proficiency before the final deadline. Final scholarship decisions will be communicated by the Student Life and International Mobility department before mid-April 2026.
