• Applicants residing in the Eastern Cape region will receive preference.
• Children of MBSA employees will be given an added advantage during the selection process.
• Current Grade 12 learners who meet the academic requirements.
• First-year students enrolled in full-time studies at a recognized South African tertiary institution will also have an advantage.
• Employees of Mercedes-Benz South Africa Group of Companies are not eligible to apply for this bursary
• Students currently pursuing or intending to pursue studies in one of the following academic fields are encouraged to apply:

1. Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Development
2. Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
3. Metrology
4. Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering (BSc)
5. Mechatronics
6. Metallurgy
7. Finance, Accounting, or Economics
8. Supply Chain Management/Logistics
9. Human Kinetics and Ergonomics.

Eligibility Criteria

• Grade 12 learners must have an overall average of 70% or higher, with at least 65% in mathematics and/or physical science (applicable to engineering-related studies).
• Current Grade 12 students must submit their latest third-term results.
• Tertiary students must provide their final matric certificate and the most recent full academic record.
• Students currently enrolled at a tertiary level must have achieved a minimum average of 65% in their most recent semester.
• Final-year academic results will be taken into consideration during the selection process for shortlisted candidates.
