  • Now, we’re looking for a Calibration Coordinator to join our team and make a meaningful impact.

Details of the Position

As the Calibration Coordinator, you’ll take charge of maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our test and measurement equipment. In this role, your work will directly support ZEISS’s mission to deliver products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

You’ll be responsible for managing the entire calibration system for Carl Zeiss Meditec, ensuring compliance with strict GMP and FDA regulations. Every day, you’ll play a vital part in upholding the standards that define ZEISS products—the precision our customers have trusted for generations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and adhering to GMP and ISO 13485 processes and procedures.
  • Managing the calibration system to ensure products and tools conform to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 standards.
  • Negotiating and approving contracts with external calibration sources.
  • Overseeing the control system for specialized equipment calibration.
  • Maintaining detailed records traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Collaborating closely with department supervisors to address calibration needs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Evaluating repair costs and coordinating the transport of equipment for calibration or servicing.
  • Supporting receiving inspections and maintaining quality control documentation.

No two days will be the same. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where precision meets purpose—and where your contributions directly influence the quality of products that impact lives around the world and make them better.

Targeted Results

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a strong technical background and a sharp eye for detail. An associate degree in electronics, math, physics, or a related field is preferred, along with at least five years of mechanical inspection or metrology experience.

You should also bring:

  • Training in QA/QC concepts and familiarity with GMP regulations.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with calibration tools and test equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to ensure calibration schedules are followed.
  • A solid understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

The position does involve some light lifting (with assistance available for heavier loads), and you may occasionally handle materials or chemicals commonly used in production environments. At ZEISS Group, we work together, and so you will not be alone.
